Review of Cyrus (2010) by Roshan S — 12 Feb 2011
A divorced man meets a woman he loves after years of being single but finds her 22 year old son, Cyrus, living with her. He is totally emotionally dependent on his mother and tries his level best to drive the man away.
The man (John) fights back. Good story. Realistically dealt with. Good performances from John C. Reilly, Marisa Tomei and a totally chilling performance by Jonah Hill. There is some very dark humour going on and the film is good but not exceptional.
