Review of Cyrano de Bergerac (1990) by Daniel B — 28 Mar 2010
The older I get, the more resonance this movie has for me. Cyrano is the character I wish I was, the one that rails against mediocrity and conformity, the one that is who he is to the fullest with no apologies.
Aside from the personal meaning it hold for me, it is a very well told story that can be at one moment whimsical and comedic and poignant and dramatic the next. Gerard Depardieu was born to play this role.
Just a great movie.
