Review of Cutting Class (1989) by *Jill * — 22 Apr 2008
I caught this on OnDemand a couple of weeks ago & really didn't expect to review it since a majority of my reviews are theatrical. But I couldn't contain myself until now to do so. Cutting Class is what Return to Horror High was for George Clooney.
.. Brad Pitt's very campy 80's slasher movie. The only difference between them is that Pitt is actually one of the lead characters. This one is basically in the middle-of-the-pack when it comes to 80's slashers flicks.
It includes a very young good looking cast, some cheap... yet better than expected scares & of course that campy humor. Overall, Cutting Class is by no means horrible by 80's slasher movie standards, but not that good either when you obviously compare it to the good ones.
It's surprisingly better than you would expect, but only worth viewing if you are looking for a good laugh at how Brad Pitt basically got his start in Hollywood.
