Review of Cutthroat Island (1995) by Derek / / / — 23 Aug 2008

For YEARS, I have avoided this movie like the fucking plague. By some unfortunate events that fell into my lap, I was somewhat forced to sit through this garbage last night while it aired on one of the Encore channels.

Cutthroat Island took 13 years to find me, and I must admit that it's reputation follows with it. Geena Davis as a top draw action heroine???? Whatever. The only reason she got the role is b/c her husband (at the time) was the director.

This movie pretty much sunk her career to Davey Jone's Locker. Look at her track record since, she's done voiceovers for the Stuart Little movies. There aren't enough words to describe this garbage.

AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS.
