Review of Curse of the Puppet Master (1998) by Simone S — 01 Feb 2013
Poor franchise. Oh, how you're being run into the ground. Curse of the Puppet Master is much of the same as the previous two sequels. More about the good puppets and their good masters with more murders taking place.
This time, however, the puppets are murdering again, even their masters. Now does this dramatically improve the series? Nope. Why? Because it's still much of the same horrible one-dimensional characters with nothing to them, save for the puppet master himself.
Speaking of which, who is this guy? He isn't the puppet master from the previous films? What happened to the guy who was supposed to take up the old puppet master's mantle that they spent so much time establishing the two previous movies? I guess they thought that starting from scratch would be a good idea.
It isn't. This movie is also so cheap-looking, at that's saying a lot about the Full Moon Pictures no budget style. Let's not forget about the antagonists, who are also one-dimensional and horrible people.
This is just a tired franchise and they need to stop, but they won't. They want to keep making them over and over again, despite being horrible movies.
