Meh. Haven't read the book yet but I imagine it's much better than this. The first half drags on forever. I know Stephen King often takes an age introducing you to the next family/victims but in this I just didn't care. I could have picked up another 70/80's horror film and the family would have been almost exactly the same.
The second half does get more suspenseful, but to be honest it just suffered from so many convenient horror cliches which ruined it for me, could have been a lot better.
