Review of Cube (1998) by Andy A — 25 Feb 2009
Brings to mind the best elements of the original Saw with a kind of pseudo science-fiction vibe that harken the glory days of shows like the Twilight Zone or the Outer Limits. The low-budget is almost meaningless and the somewhat exaggerated acting is almost negligible as the story's originality and suspense overpower any shortcomings once the film kicks into high-gear about half-way in.
A feverish and disturbing little brain-teaser if there ever was one.
