Not many people have heard of this movie, but I heard of it on the Resident Evil DVD commentary. The scene where Colin Salmon's character gets sliced into cubes by a lazer grid, the filmmakers said it was a reference to this movie. So, one Christmas night at 2.00, it was on and I watched it whilst my family played cards in the kitchen.

I like the fact that there's only 7 people in this movie, The movie lets you guess who the villain is. When it's revealed who it is, it's a slap in the face.

Shot with a micro budget and shot in one set. Different colours were used to tell which room is which. This film must've been a nightmare in the editing process. There's only 2 but very nice gory scenes that happen in the first 10 minutes. No CGI, just good handmade effects.

The dialogue is not very strong in this film. A character asks "Does anybody know how we got here?" Another character answers "Pro-gees! Cheese and potato! I went to the fridge to get sour cream and then....... I dunno." Okay.

There's an "Autistic" character in it that completely rips off Rain Man. There's even a scene where a character asks the "Autistic" character "Do you want to go for a walk?" Cue the eye rolling.

It's a very intense film, the characters turn on each other and realize that the traps aren't the only deadly things they have to face.

It's the intensity of the film makes it worth watching. Especially the scene where the gang have to go through one room without making a sound or else spikes will impale them. That scene had me on the edge of my seat.

Overall, I've seen Cube 30 times and I recommend it. Just avoid the sequel and the prequel.
