Review of Cry Freedom (1981) by Kaj P — 12 Jun 2010
I saw this movie on TV yesterday, very impressive. Particularly watching it during the soccer world cup 2010 in South Africa really made an impact on me. Aside from the story itself, I was really sad when Steve Biko died in the film, because I realised Denzel Washington wouldn't be in the movie any more from that point on; what an actor.
This movie was nominated for three oscars, I'm surprised it didn't win at least one.
