Review of Crumb (1995) by Richard D — 05 Jan 2015
Really an amazing documentary ... one of the best ever made. It's a compelling depiction of a truly gifted and maverick talent, but also a frank depiction of how close genius is to madness. Crumb and his brothers grew up in the same hostile environment, but only he adapted enough to get by in the world .
.. perhaps barely at times. A must-see if you love his work, but also a compelling experience for those that don't care about him at all.
