Review of Cruising (1980) by Kerem G — 27 Mar 2008
The crazy thing is, I cannot imagine a major studio or star today touching this movie with a ten-foot (smoked) pole. There are a couple of hilariously campy moments, but overall it's a pretty revolutionary peek into the NYC leather scene and sexual revolution back in the day.
A good companion piece to recent doc "Gay Sex in the 70's." (P.S. Release date is NOT 2007 -- 1980, I think.).
