Review of Cruising (1980) by Kenneth B — 15 Jun 2012
If not for the controversy and the fact that Al Pacino is in it Cruising would probably have been long forgotten by now. For the most part this is a languid thriller, hinting at a Giallo influence but lacking in the exuberant style of those films.
It is bumped up by a decent Pacino turn and a interestingly ambiguous ending but there isn't much more to recommend here.
