Review of Cruella (2021) by Bertobellamy — 29 May 2021
Not satisfied with owning almost everything mainstream, Disney appropriates counterculture with this so-called punk film. 'Cruella' has funny moments, and the costume design is astounding, but the plot is mediocre at best.
The final twist is another typical Disney moment to try to surprise the audience. Emma Stone and Emma Thompson are the best part of the movie, but 'The Devil Wears Prada' vibes make their interaction a little derivative.
