Review of Cruel Story of Youth (1960) by Chris J — 16 Nov 2007
This movie had the worst characters I have ever seen. As audience members we never understand how the female main character can fall in love with a man who rapes her. Or why she stays with him even when he when he treats her like dirt and forces her to get an abortion.
When the final credits start to roll in the end instead of feeling sorry or hurt for for these two characters the audience feels relieved that this train wreck is finally done.
