Review of Cruel Intentions 2 (2000) by Dusty G — 14 Dec 2007
Part remake, part prequel, this is the movie the first Cruel Intentions should have been. Much more humorous, sexual and twisted, this one hits all the right notes. Dunne knocks the Sebastian Valmont role out of the park, far bettering some damn solid performances by Malkovich and Phillipee in Dangerous Liasons and Cruel Intentions I.
Keri Lynn Pratt also established herself as one of my favorite comedic bit players with this and several similar roles she took on around this time. Deliciously twisted with some fun twists, you get the feeling this is the movie writer/director Roger Kumble wanted to make with his original.
One of my favorites.
