Review of Cruel Intentions 2 (2000) by Bob S — 18 Jun 2010

Let me just start off by saying that this is really not a good movie. The script is full of awful dialogue, the characters are like pieces of wood and the acting is pretty weak. Yet, I found it highly entertaining.

These flaws actually make it more engaging. There are even points in which the movie seems almost aware of the fact that it is a "bad" movie and has a little fun with this fact. There is also a lot funny, possibly intentional sexual innuendo sprinkled throughout the film (lots of "he was coming and going and then coming again"), as well as some great sex stuff that adds even more entertainment value.

Sure, that may be a cheap ploy to get people into the movie, but it works well and certainly makes coming worthwhile (see what I did there?). Now I have never seen, or even heard of the original Cruel Intentions so I couldn't say if whether the film butchers the series or if it even stacks up to the original.

I can say, however that this movie is like a bad horror film; the dialogue is corny, there's a big twist at the end and you'll some naked breasts.
