A movie of Love and Sword. It has an uphill battle living up to its poetic original... But this can hold its own. Yu Shu returns to town to honor a fallen friend. However, an evil presence is questing for power via the emerald sword - The Sword of Destiny.

Some good martial arts and choreographed fight scenes make it worthwhile. Follows the formula of multiple levels of peer enemies. But at its core.. This is really a tiered love story. I like the layers that keep this overall interesting.
