Review of Crossing Over (2009) by Larry S — 22 Jun 2009
An outstanding gutsy, and raw film, that would not be intimidated and coerced by the politically correct morons, and tells a great story. I watched this movie with three dear friends who had all immigrated to the US legally. One of them had to fight for 20 years to get her citizenship, and they all loved this movie. The critics of this film would all have/force us to believe that every illegal immigrant to the US is Mother Teresa, Gandhi, and Jesus Christ, rolled into one.
Instead this gritty movie tells multiple stories that are intriguing and fascinating. Ashley Judd looks fantastic as well. My only negative review is the situation Harrison Ford is written into as the single police officer, that goes home alone to a depressing little apartment. Writers, do you think you can come up with something fresh? That's been over done since the Dirty Harry days.
