Review of Crossing Over (2009) by Jason H — 25 Jun 2009
A well-intentioned but ultimately ham-handed exploration of U.S. immigration policies. The film wants to be hard hitting, but too much of the plot plays out like a TV movies. That said, writer-director Wayne Kramer gets uniformly terrific performances from a fine cast playing pawns in the game of sex, violence and betrayal.
And Harrison Ford has rarely been better.
