Some very moving moments, Crossing Over paints a mostly bleak, overpowering picture of immigration in the US, but leaves enough of a light at the end of the tunnel to strike close to home for some. Ford, as usual, is superb - an intimidating USCIS veteran with an honest desire to do right by the system.
