Review of Crossing Over (2009) by Alejandro V — 11 Feb 2012
Im interesting in this kind of movies that share the subject of inmigration. In tihis flick show the situation of diferent people, from diferent countries. Involve what they had to live, to bear, to suffer, to manage, to risk, to sacrifice etc. for of getting of a green card in order to aspire to a better life.
In this movie there were several cases: the guy from new zeland the girl from new zeland, the korean boy, the teenager from middle east, the lawyer, her sister and and family.
The guy that took advantage of his job and infringe the law and told the girl from New Zeland that he will get her a the american citizenship in exchange of sex. The girl was ambicious and lost her dignity and she regreted it. She tried. I don´t judged her or judge people in this situation as long as you can live with that, but I think It´s not always a good idea to climb matresses.
I like the singer mate from new zeland that didn´t speak hebrew and didn´t have a clue of the hebrew culture. I think she was lucky and it´s o.k. that he got help from the rabby at the inmigration office. I didnt like the essay that the teenager from middle east wrote.
