Review of Cross of Iron (1977) by Dave P — 27 Feb 2008
One of the best war flicks out there. Directed by legendary Sam Peckinpah, this uber-violent tale of the ugliness of war is refreshing in it's portrayal of dirty, grimy soldiers. For once it actually focuses on a military OTHER than the USA, which according to Hollywood was the only military that took part in WWII.
