Review of Cross of Iron (1977) by Pauline L — 09 Jul 2010
Actually quite a good movie! Completely unexpected War flick, that was more about the lives and tribulations of the soldier in the eastern front, than about a war.
While the sounds, effects, and deaths were somewhat...dated, a lot went into this piece to portray war as another reality to live through altogether.
Quite epic, and personally moving.
The ending (the laughter) was an interesting twist, and makes you come out with your own message. A+.
