Review of Crooklyn (1994) by Matt M — 11 Oct 2008
It shows the golden age of a brooklyn neighborhood in the 1970s when kids actually played outside. I suspect its bed-stuy or east new york. I just couldn't get over the size of that brownstone. Today you would just rent that thing out for some serious money: family problems? solved.
I didn't grow up in quite the same surroundings but the setting resonated.
