Review of Cronos (1993) by James-Masaki R — 25 Aug 2011
Gulliermo Del Toro's debut is still one of the most original vampire movies ever made, something of a rare feat. Mechanics, Gothic storytelling, Insect-like creatures, are all Del Toro's trademarks, and everything is here at the start.
The scale is very small compared to his later works, but there is definite tones to what would later come in his career. Highly entertaining, yet slow moving, and also without a girl like the poster claims, it's still very worthy.
