One of my favorite vampire movies of all time! Guillermo del toro's first film and still one of my favorites by him. Funny that all is sequential films all hold the same themes and styles. Takes a unique version of the classic vampire story and turns it into a glorious scary fairy tale ,however to it's core the film is about the love a grandfather has for his granddaughter.
The movie still holds up to this day and is a great start to one of the genres most exciting, unique and fascinating directors.
