Review of Cromwell (1970) by Anne F — 12 May 2008
It's the performances of Alec Guinness as Charles I and Richard Harris as Oliver Cromwell that make this film worth watching. Historically inaccurate and much too sympathetic to Oliver Cromwell, and the battle scenes which are much admired by other reviewers were fast-forwarded by me.
