Review of Critters 3 (1991) by Crystal K — 19 Jul 2010
While not necessarily better than the last one, it does things differently that make for a bit of a more chilling experience, at least at the beginning. The Critters begin killing off people in the basement of a apartment complex and this manages to be slightly sinister.
Critters movies always tend to be films of two parts, the first part, where you don't really see much of them tends to be the most entertaining. When you actually get to see them, they never quite deliver the goods, as they try and be funny they don't really pull it off then the whole thing falls a bit flat on its face.
Least they look good, for glove puppets that is. Anyway in short, this has more scares than the last (which isn't saying much) and is less comedic on the whole, it has a good cast and the location does help hold the film together a lot better than last time.
Worth watching, good but flawed fun.
