Review of Critters 3 (1991) by Manu G — 17 Jun 2011
The first Critters was a great, low-budget western meets sci-fi, meets creatures from outerspace movie that is was good just on what it was trying to be. The third installment which is actually the first of a two-part conclusion to Critters 4 (the one in space with Angela Bassett, with a body double in a shower scene, and Brad Dourif).
Set in Topeka? but oddly, looking like L.A. even in the cover art, that's because it was filmed there, the critters somehow attach their eggs to a pick-up truck out in the middle of nowhere where all the main characters meet but don't know they will meet again later and the whole movie is about the Critters wrecking their havoc in an apartment building.
While this movie is Leo's first movie, it is basically a supporting role. I'm sure he is grateful that he does not have a bigger role in this movie.
