Review of Crimson Tide (1995) by Scott — 10 Jul 2008
Very intense, no delaying of action as the situation is introduced immediately. Much better than "Red October," but that's also due to a great supporting cast. Not to mention it's aided by a Hans Zimmer score.
I never trust any character Hackman plays as he always seems shady. I was hoping for a Denzel yelling scene, but he was badass just by remaining calm (no easy task). You could cut the tension between Hackman/Denzel with a knife as they had a heated relationship throughout.
