Review of Crimson Peak (2015) by Brandon W — 28 Oct 2015
This movie is very underrated by the critics. It's a beautifully filmed movie with excellent cinematography. The acting is excellent. The costumes and sets are outstanding. The story is not true horror or fantasy.
It's very much a gothic romance and ghost story. I found it fascinating and breath taking. It was equal parts Poe and Lovecraft. As it was a great homage to the classic Roger Corman/Vincent Price horror films.
I am a big Guillermo Del Toro fan and he did not disappoint with the atmospheric and fascinating film.
