Honestly, I cannot understand the reviewers who found this film lacking. The characters are compelling, the movie is absolutely gorgeous, and the plot is perfect for it is intended to be, which is a classic Gothic horror story.
This movie is in a class by itself, haunting, beautiful, terrifying and tragic. Masterful.
