Review of Crimson Peak (2015) by Tom R — 09 Nov 2015
It was OK. Very Guillermo del Toro in the way of visuals, atmosphere, and the necessary creepy mansion that is in almost all of this movies. Tom Hiddlestron far and away carried the movie acting wise, with everyone else trying to follow as closely as they can. The movie is marketed as a ghost movie, but it is not. They even preface this in the beginning when the main character cries "It is not a ghost story. The ghosts are a metaphor.".
Ultimately this is more of a Redbox rental than a theater movie.
