Review of Crimson Peak (2015) by Jerome K — 21 Feb 2016

I think I was expecting this film to be more of a horror movie than it really was. There are certainly many creepy moments, but the plot itself is rather cliched and soap opera-like. It's certainly nowhere near as unique as Guillermo Del Toro's other similar works like Pan's Labyrinth.

However, I highly enjoyed the performances, and the sets are wonderfully detailed.
