Review of Crimson Peak (2015) by Andy D — 26 Jul 2017
Guillermo Del Toro does creepy Gothic horror. As expected it's visually striking, and genuinely quite creepy to start with, but it does tail off rather and end up becoming nothing special. The ghost story aspect of the film isn't explored, despite a promising start, and ultimately I'd say it ends up being entertaining to watch, but rather average.
