Review of Crimson Peak (2015) by El_Jacko — 28 Oct 2015
Meticulously constructed, Crimson Peak still manages to lack any real bite. The first act is entertaining enough, but once the protagonist enters the Hall, we are subjected to monotonous horror sections (that seemingly add nothing from a narrative or metaphorical standpoint), an unsurprising plot revelation and really anything inspiring other than the cinematography and the performances.
