Starring Mia Wasikowska, Jessica Chastain and Tom Hiddleston comes this wonderfully dark and original gothic romance. Exceptionally creepy although borderline excessively gory with the perfect atmosphere throughout.
More importantly it doesn't rely on cheap jump scares that other ghost stories bombard you with. I loved every minute of this, by far Guillermo del Torro's best English language film, a must see for anyone who's a fan of his work.
Highly recommended.
