Review of Crimson Peak (2015) by Matt H — 30 Dec 2015
Crimson Peak could have cut about 30 minutes from its run time and been a much tighter, while equally effective film. They could have, in my mind, cut any of the moments where whats-her-head makes googly eyes with Tom Hiddleston (there's absolutely no reason, he's so obviously a creep) and given her some other, *actual* reason to be at this decrepit mansion.
Brice Dallas Howard's mustache-twirling performance, and incredible set design, however, make Crimson Peak ultimately worthwhile and fun.
