Review of Crimes and Misdemeanors (1989) by William A — 09 Aug 2007
This film is one of Allen's best films ever in his amazing repertoire. It is both parts witty and hilarious and cold and dramatic. It is a study of the world and the beings that inhabit it. it is a cold cynical view of a world where evil triumphs because of circumstance and chance.
he balances the ides of morality, love, obsession, and religion so finely it is almost terrifying that one man could see so deep into the human soul. This film features some of the best scenes in cinema.
