Review of Crimes and Misdemeanors (1989) by Joe B — 14 Sep 2007
Alan Alda is a perfect foil to Woody Allen's usual ball of neurosis, and Martin Landau is perfect in his depiction of internal conflict. A great sustained exploration of a serious moral dilemma (guilt vs.
punishment). Focused, funny and provocative; one of Woody Allen's best.
