Review of Crimes and Misdemeanors (1989) by Ojas V — 13 May 2011
How can an honest man suffer through adversity, while a wicked man overcomes? This is the central question in Crimes and Misdemeanors, about two upper middle class men who struggle with sins in their lives.
The pacing of the film can be a bit slow to develop, but great performances from an interesting ensemble cast, a few humourous scenes, and some surreal philosophical musings keeps one interested. By the end, the question is not quite answered, but thats life.
