Review of Cries and Whispers (1972) by Steve M — 09 May 2011
A true masterpiece by the late great Ingmar Bergman. It's a powerfull look at death and relationships between siblings. Far from a joyful film it's a mood film, where the greatness dosen't come from the story or performances but rather the haunting mood and atmosphere of the film.
It's a real visual work of art.
