Review of Cries and Whispers (1972) by Emmanuel P — 22 May 2012
Bergman at its best. This movie was so impressive that I tried to watch it the first time and couldn't pass the first 15 minutes. I had to wait more than a whole year to be able to watch it properly. So powerful. So agressive. Like a punch in your stomach. Reality hits you hard. And underneath it all, the typical human greed.
Actually, I shouldn't be allowed to review Bergman's work. Everything he did was genius.
