Review of Creepshow 2 (1987) by Nick G — 24 Jun 2009
Apparently, George Romero has trouble writing anything that doesn't involve zombies.
We get three lousy stories, and between each we get lame cartoons. In the first, George Kennedy walks around aimlessly on what appears to be some sort of quasi-Indian reservation, before a cigar store Indian comes to life and kills some people.
Then, a group of teens is devoured in a lake by what is said to be an oil slick, but is clearly actually a pool cover.
To be honest, the third story is pretty solid. It's got good action, is actually kinda creepy, and has a Stephen King cameo ("Hey buddy! What the fuck happened?!").
