Review of Creep (2014) by Robert Z — 31 Oct 2017
I didn't read any reviews for this film, but it was mentioned in an article about scary movies on Netflix. I'd seen the thumbnail for it numerous times but I mistakenly characterized it as some cheapo schlock horror movie. Boy was I mistaken!
Mark Duplass turns in a riveting performance as Josef, who needs a cameraman for a day of mischief, laughs and possibly a bromance, for which he'll pay $1000 to the (dubiously) lucky photographer.
Enter Aaron (Patrick Brice), who accepts the offer and drives his old clanky car to meet Josef.
Saying anything further would require spoilers, and I don't want to ruin it for you. But if you thought the "found footage" genre has been done ad nauseum, you're in for a pleasant surprise.
