Review of Creep (2014) by Wraith A — 18 Sep 2015
"Creep" is unique in the Duplass Brothers' repertoire because it's so low-fi. It isn't about growing up, learning to be an adult, or losing/finding love: it's about a creepy guy, who invades someone's house, and lures in unsuspecting cameramen through Craigslist and kills them.
Unlike other found footage films, this has a real human factor- both Mark Duplass and Patrick Brice are playing people that feel real. Brice's Aaron displays real fear; Duplass's Josef is fantastically creepy.
And the ending...well, I don't need to spoil anything. But it certainly felt human.
