Review of Creep (2014) by Torion O — 29 Mar 2018
As the last half of the film comes around it becomes all too ridiculous how the protagonist continues to be a moron in so many ways. He doesn't move away, go to the police, give evidence to the police, and even look over his own footage.
It actually made me angry how stupid he was. The film attributes his innocence/ignorance to altruism, but it doesn't work in any way. Stupid character aside, it's also kind of annoying the only scares were all of Josef saying, "BOO!" and jumping out of hiding multiple times.
I guess the high ratings are because the cinematography isn't bad, given it's found footage, but it is simply impossible to not be frustrated with the sheer stupidity of its main character.
