Review of Creep (2014) by David W — 15 Nov 2015
I found this movie incredibly boring. If you've ever seen some of the other horror movies out there where a slightly peculiar person is slowly revealed to be dangerous and demented this movie has nothing interesting to show you.
Every scene of the movie can be summed up with "Mark Duplass's character(Josef) does/says something awkward and creepy." From the first moment Josef is on screen you know he's somehow going to be revealed to be a psycho who attacks the cameraman so the whole movie you're just watching long drawn out boring scenes of Josef being awkward waiting for a reveal you saw coming an hour ago.
Also there are like five jump scares in the movie where Mark Duplass just hides from the camera and then jumps out and shouts! The only thing about this movie I found surprising was that they would use such a bad jump scare so many times.
Maybe If you haven't seen many horror movies this movie could rustle your jimmies but for me it was predictable from the first five minutes.
