Review of Creep (2014) by John T — 29 Apr 2016
A perfect balance of taught suspense and comedy. There are a couple of eye-roll worthy moments in the writing department, but otherwise this is very well written, filmed and acted, and is a solid entry in the found footage department, although, those looking for a body count/slasher gorefest or blood-curdling horror should probably look elsewhere.
This is pitch black satire that shifts back and forth from a legitimate sense of dread and unease to goofy farce (with a kind of 'Portlandia' feel) with the greatest of ease. This was not at all what I expected, and I was pleasantly surprised at the bare bones approach to this memorable film.
