Review of Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954) by Johnny R — 16 Apr 2010
This is one of my favorites of the 50's monster movies.
The theme is the classic and eternal, the Beauty and the Beast, and can easily be equated with the original "King Kong".
A beautiful, but shivery scene is then when the beautiful Julie Adams swim and dive into the water, unaware of the monster proximity and quiet love in courtship interactions in association with her.
The question is not Steven Spielberg has taken a lot of picture ideas from the stage to play "Jaws"?
